Hello. Outlook 2010.
Where is the option in 2010 to export? I would like to export/ save my Contacts to a file.
Will I then be able to import them into Outlook 2007?
Andy.

As usual it's buried in an unexpected place. See Export contacts - Outlook - Microsoft Office. For import into Outlook 2007, you can select a .pst file as target.
Best wishes,

Thanks again.
I wish Microsoft would stop piddling about with the UI.

This one is really ridiculous. (In an early version of Outlook 2010, even before the beta, you had to select Import in order to export )
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Export Contacts 2010
In the Save As dialog the Tools option used to be at the top-right, then bottom-left, now bottom-right. Although I don't know if Windows 7 has moved
it again.
The most notorious one is having to click the Start button to shut-down
it again.

In Windows 7, the Tools dropdown in the Save As dialog is still bottom right.
Best wishes,

Another good one is in Word 2007: to modify an existing multi-level list, you have to click "Define New Multilevel List..."

The ultimate idiocy is that this is still the situation in Outlook 2010! One has to stumble through File--> Open--> Import to be able to export- it's illogical and a retrograde step in software design.HansV wrote:This one is really ridiculous. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I hadn't found that one before. It takes you to exactly the same place as File --> Options --> Advanced --> ExportAmelia43 wrote:...in Outlook 2010! One has to stumble through File--> Open--> Import to be able to export...

Thank you Stuart- that is a bit more logical to me!
