I'm struggling to see how the new 'Show Apps in Outlook' feature, which displays mail, calendar, people & tasks as a vertical column on the left of the folders pane is helpful. It means there is a huge amount of unused empty white space. In contrast, the 'classic look' where these are in a row at the foot of the folder pane is neat and unobtrusive.
The wording of the tool top on this new feature implies that using old layout will eventually not be possible, since it talks about 'snoozing the new experience', rather than turning it off.
Hey ho, Progress** strikes again.
Ken
**Note the use of a capital 'P', to denote 'Progress' is a proper noun, the name of something, and it has no relation what so ever to 'progress', which is an adjective that describes mowing forward.

Re: show apps in Outlook
There have been oodles of requests to either go back to the original layout, or to make the choice between the two layouts permanently available, but Microsoft ignores them, unsurprisingly
Best wishes,

I shall restore the classic look every time MS forces the new look until the option to revert is removed.
