Why would it be necessary to close a table? I have noticed that if I open a report that uses one table , close the form and try to open another form or report the data does not show up. If I close and re-open it display?
Any reason why?
Of course I can release that table but wanted to know why!

I don't understand "I have noticed that if I open a report that uses one table , close the form and try to open another form or report the data does not show up. If I close and re-open it display?" Is this about a form or a report? And you mention that you close something in both sentences.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Close Table
Is this the sequence?
1. Open Weekly Misc Report and leave it open.
2. Open YTDMisc Report. No data displayed.
3. Close YTDMisc Report.
4. Open YTDMisc Report again. Data displayed.

Re: Close Table
NO. I close the weekly Report then open the Year to Date and no data is displayed. They both use the same table, tblMiscChecks
Both have No Locks on the report.

Re: Close Table
Issue has been resolved. Problem was caused by referring back to the main form from the report.
