Re: You can hear the accent
True, but here in Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuse you can tell that the lad from down-under couldn't spell in English, let alone in French.

So is this this bar for all the homesick British holidaymakers in Portugal, who want nothing more than to feel like they are still at home while they are on holidays?

Re: You can hear the accent
Well Geoff, in a manner of speaking, yes.
In another manner of speaking, i suspect I might be the only person in St Remy who has ever noticed it. I mean my photo was taken in 2014 and the Google Maps Streetview is years after that. I was there again in 2016 and the banner was still upside down. A week earlier (2014 trip) in Rambouillet a shop keeper asked me to help her put up her canopy, that was a first for me.
As for "homesick", I'm in a perpetual state of homesickness. When I am not in Bonavista I am homesick for Bonavista (On 31 October I celebrated 1,000 consecutive sleeps in Bonavista; I doubt that anyone else here can beat that), but when I am in Bonavista I am homesick for Paris and Perth.
(signed) "never happy unless he's got something to complain about" of Bonavista and other places.
P.S. Portugal?

Chris. I was in fact referring to the original post in the thread. The British Pub pictured is in Lisboa.
Here's the non cockney version.

Sorry, I should have quoted. I was being lazy.

Well Geoff, you just ruined my day
We could have gone for hours, each discussing something that the other didn't know anything about ...
