Am I alone in thinking it strange that people who are up to their knickers in water are trying to stay dry with umbrellas?
Also, is the Lady In Red pushing one of those new-fangled eBikes? Or is that thing on her handlebars just a thong, something else she is trying to keep dry?

Maybe they're trying to shade themselves from the blazing sun?
I think the Lady in Red has a pair of sandals hanging on the handlebars of a bicycle. I certainly hope it isn't an eBike getting shorted out by the flood.

Re: Am I alone ...?
Most people do not realise that a large part of Bonavista (101cm p.a.) is permanently under water.
I think that your folks call it 'The Atlantic Ocean"; people in Maine call it "The Grand Banks"!
P.S. I used my umbrella once, soon after I got here, then stowed it in the shed loft; just like Prince Rupert (220cm p.a.) locals can't be bothered with umbrellas.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks John; but they didn't get as far as four (if I include my email correspondent, "Tom").
Cheers
Chris
