Returning to the original post, is this the just-sold house-and-organ to which reference was made?

Is there such thing as a bagpipe organ?
I will be much easier to move and you may get the same knock on the door at 3 am.
Just a thought...

Organs need a constant supply of pressurised air to be blown through its pipes, so this is done nowadays by using a small (and quiet!) electric pump. In former times one or two bellows were used, pumped by some chap or small boy.
You might be thinking of the fairly simple "portative organ" with a small number of pipes and a much smaller keyboard - the bellows is on the opposite side of the keyboard. This is usually used to accompany solo or small ensemble singing.
You could make one for yourself from a kit, if you like!

Only sort of, as I said in the original post, it's over 80 miles from where he lives now and has a price tag beyond him.
One of his current house mates will move out at the end of the summer so, inspired by that house in Bristol, he momentarily toyed with the idea of building his own organ in that room. But even a DIY organ would be expensive and then there's the problem on having to cover the rent for the second room. Not to mention what the landlords might say
