Re: Soccer thingy
So it's all over. Normal life can resume.
There will still be a ripple effect for those listening to news podcasts.
In previous World Cup tournaments, there were matches that my wife would watch from the bedroom TV during the ungodly hours. Due to shift work, this has not happened this time - not even when Mexico played.

I LOVE the TDF, I watch it every year: beautiful countryside, saves me from having to travel there, see much more than I would driving around myself and if it rains, I'm still nice and cosy with a glass ofHansV wrote:Not really - the Tour de France is in full swing now...

I came toCanada from France in 2016.
And also in 2014.
Also 1980

Chris
P.S. I think Hans is from France, too, but I only mention it to be poetic.

That's because I went FROM oz TO the UK in 1977.
From which I went to France. In 1978.
Think not so much "association football" but "ping-pong" (grin!)

P.S. I came back to Canada from Oz in 1993.

If those Swedish hares had antlers, they'd be close kin to Texas jackalopes.

Re: Soccer thingy
That's in Canberra, known as the bush capital due to its planned extensive green areas. The suburb of Deakin, where this happened, is quite close to the centre of Canberra, and is next to Parliament House. It's also next to extensive nature reserve.
When it's been dry, kangaroos tend to get into populated areas much more frequently, as there is a lot of greenery.
