In Excel 2000 I can filter a table, highlight the visible cells, copy, switch to a new worksheet/book and when I paste I get just the filtered cells. Painless.
In Excel 2007 all goes well until the paste, when I get everything, not just the filtered data. Boo! Hiss! NOT painless.
Unless someone can put me right, it appears I have to use the fairly well hidden 'select visible cells' tool to do the copy bit and so if I require this feature often (which I do) my best bet is to add this button to the QAT.
This is progress?

Re: copy & paste filtered data
Do you have SP2 installed? I know this was an issue with the original release, but it was fixed.

I can confirm Rory's remark: it works correctly in Excel 2007 SP2:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
