As part of the continuing saga of the handed-down Dell E1505, I now want to take advantage of the WinXP Media Center capability. Although, I will feed the USB or PCIE card from a cable drop, I'd also like to be able to receive over-the-air signals. Of course, nowadays it would have to be HD capable.
Does anyone have recommendations for such a tuner? Any to avoid? Best buy?

I too have MCE but on a desktop. However, I don't have a TV card so I'm probably not the best qualified to comment. Having said that I do know that early versions of MCE were very fussy about which TV cards they would talk to. I think the final (2005) version was more forgiving but it would be worth your while doing some Googling on MCE compatible TV cards and see what that turns up before you get into USB or PCIe.
