I have a request from someone to display a form in pivot chart view, which is not a problem. The information points that are displayed in the pivot chart can change each time the chart is displayed, and are based on criteria selected by the client. I tried to base the form on a query, but found that the pivot chart became "confused" by the query data. If I turned the query into a make-table query, and based the pivot chart on the newly-created table, everything is fine.
So I'm under the impression that if you want to have a form display as a pivot chart by default, you better use a table, not a query, as your record source. I never saw much use for make-table queries, but this certainly seems to be one.
By the way the result works fine, I'm just throwing it out there for the group. I figure I ask enough questions around here, so I thought I'd post an observation this time.
