Some sites I visit need IE running in the "Compatibility Mode." Once I clicked that button it used to remember my choice upon future visits. That no longer seems to be the case and I must try to remember to click that "Compatibility Mode" icon each visit. I did make one change to IE's options by checking the box that says "Delete Browsing History On Exit." Could that be the cause?
Thanks

Re: Running In Compatibility Mode
Well instead of deleting the above post I decided to reply to it myself.
After posting, it hit me that I could easily experiment and see if that option was the cause and it was. So I guess my problem is solved. Sorry to have made this thread.

Re: Running In Compatibility Mode
You can prevent IE8 from deleting data of wbsites in your Favorites:
This setting is also used if you let IE8 clear your browsing history on exit. It obviously does not apply to websites that are not in your Favorites.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Running In Compatibility Mode
Thank you Hans that will be useful although I really have never used favorites. I guess I should look into that.
