Impressive indeed. They don't make them like that any more!
We went to the pictures a couple of weeks ago to the Kinema in the Woods near Lincoln to see the Great Escaper (good film!) During the intermission, an organ with a bloke playing it, rose up from under the floor. Turns out the pipes to the right of the stage were organ pipes. Not quite Chester Cathedral but an excellent surprise all the same!

Not at the time I took the photo but we did hear him play it the following day.
Except they do, sort of. York Minster's organ was re-built recently and the organ at Notre Dame is being restored and will be reinstalled once the rebuilding of the cathedral is complete.
