It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing away of our longtime member viking33 at the age of 89.
He was very active in Woody's Lounge, and initially also here in Eileen's Lounge, until his health deteriorated.
May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear. My condolences to the family.
I had no idea he was anywhere near that old. I trust that I'll be able to keep even close to being that mentally active as I start heading into the older person category.

Agree with all the above. Death comes us all eventually, but it can often be a shock to hear that someone who you always expect to be around has now gone. RIP.

Re: RIP viking33
That is sad news. I had noticed he had 'disappeared' from The Lounge but I had no idea why. I guessed it must have been something serious though as he no longer responded to private messages. My condolences to his family.

Sad news indeed. Bob's appearances were sparse during the past while, due no doubt to health issues. I will certainly miss his contributions and his perspectives on many topics and life in general. I knew that Bob was an old-timer (like me) but I had no idea he had reached that age. RIP Bob. We will miss you.

Very sad news indeed, and so sorry to hear this.
We joined the old lounge the same year, a few years after that version was launched, and kept in touch every now and then via PMs, also in Eileen's Lounge. Great knowledge in so many areas, and humour.
My condolences to his family.
Rest in peace, sailor.
