Sorry if this is not correct forum....
When I go to My Account/Security, I scroll and see Signing in to Google and "Use your phone to sign in" is on. I cannot turn this off.
When I click the arrow on that page, am taken to page which again says 'Use your phone to sign in' was turned on. It's now possible to sign in to your Google Account by tapping a prompt on your phone. There is a check-mark next to Windows, This device.'
Have an iPhone Se and even turned to Apple for help. They referred me to Google. No answers there.
I have searched the web but cannot find any help on how to turn this option off.
Thank you!

Don't you see something like this after signing in?

No, that's my problem. Can't find that option anywhere.
What I see is 'use your phone to sign in' and check box with 'on.'
(I would send an image, but can't find Attachment option on the page)

I removed the enormous white space from your image.

I have a similar, but slightly different, problem. I have two factor authentication enabled on my account, and Google insists on using a prompt on my logged in phone instead of my security key for the second factor.

@uncle
Be careful if you have more than one google account when messing with those settings... When navigating around in security settings I have experienced that you can erratically jump between accounts and end up adjusting settings on the wrong account!

I am having difficulty logging in with this account just now.
