One of my coworkers shared her contact list with me. I can see the contacts. But, when I create a new mail messag and press the To button to get to the list, it doesn't show up.
And, this same user wants to create a separate contact list and share that, but we tried this and I couldn't get to the new one - even if she set up the permissions right.
I really don't like the way Outlook shares. It seems complicated - or maybe I'm just not smart enough to figure it out.
Help please?!

In "Contacts", have you right clicked her contact list, selected Outlook Address Book, and selected the check box "Show this folder as an email address book"?

Re: Shared contacts don't show in To field in new mail message
In poking around on the internet, I found someone else who had this problem. The answer he got was, "Yeah, its one thing to share the contacts, you can view easy enough, however they dont appear as a list when using the 'To' function when creating a new mail. As long as its only one contact, you can view them, right click and create message though."
Is this really true? There is no way to use the To... field in a new mail message to insert addresses from a shared contact list?

The instructions in Public Folder and other mailbox Contacts folders might be a solution.
