Actually, now that you mention it, the nice lady at The House Of tea on Yonge Street told me the temperatures for all the different types of tea I was buying. It seemed like a lot of work to remember each temperature (degrees F and all) each time I wanted a cuppa.
I suspect that it's a bit like wine
cognizants. If you're really into it, it's a lot of fun, but otherwise "let's have a glass with dinner, eh?".
My main thrust here is to avoid having to wipe spill-overs when I'm making tea of coffee at home.
