Re: relationship for creating a data entry form
You mentioned that you made a copy of the database. Did you change the design of this database? And if so, how?
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: relationship for creating a data entry form
Hans,
Yes, I changed it. I added one table. Then I added a field to transTable as employeeID and changed it to combo box. Then I populated it with the values of the employee table. The values of the employee combo box is coming form employeeTable.
I linked the employeetable to transtable through employeeID.
That is all change I did.

Bitbit

Re: relationship for creating a data entry form
I'm afraid I can't explain why the rates subform isn't updated correctly. I'd have to see (a copy of) the database again.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: relationship for creating a data entry form
Hans,
It worked the very first time, I made. But later on, it stopped working partially; by clicking on the forms the values was being displayed and then later on completely stopped unless I navigated back to the previous records, I could see the form argu is showing the values.
My copy is like yours exactly.
Tomorrow is another day...I have to see what I can do
Thank you so much for all!

aipt

Yes, I'd have to see a copy of your current version of the database.

Re: relationship for creating a data entry form
Hello Hans,
I deleted all the records from trans table. Then I started to key in values. The form was populated. I think the problem was coming that records were not correct typed in, having said that I had changed the values of combo boxes on the form for same record. There was duplicated values while Access didn't give any errors. Right now, it is working, I can not predict future though.
Many, many thanks,
