I have databse in access with 4 table but when i change property into the filed type, lenght of filed have always this message.???
Note:
in one of table i need to mididy have approx 3/4 million of records:-(

I change the prpert into the fileds beacase i think if have a values with max lenght is 2 not is a good idea the maintain 2555 chatacter

For me to lmit the effective lenght in fileds i use a minimun sdpace in KB of the databse or not?

An Access database has a maximum size of 2 GB (2048 MB), but you should keep its size wll below that because inserting and adding records requires plenty of free space.
If a text field contains 10 characters, it only takes up 11 bytes (10+1 for the length), not 255 bytes even if the maximum length is 255. So it's not really necessary to reduce the size of text fields.
If you have very large tables, consider migrating them to SQL Server. You can keep Access as frontend.
