I am setting up a new Win 8 laptop for my daughter and need to change the color of buttons in her Db (Access 2003). They looked great in Win XP, but now look awful.
I can change the color of Access 2003 buttons in Win 7 and below, but can't see how to in Win 8.
Anyone have any ideas?

Don't command buttons have a Back Color property in Windows 8?
Best wishes,
Hans

Please note that I am using Access 2013 in Win8.1, but as Hans refers to, there is a back color property for the command buttons.

I am a bit of a duffer.
Not the Access buttons but the Win 8 various window components, including (I think) the dialog background. I adjust these so that they blend with my Access buttons.
Sorry for the malformed question.

You should have posted this in the Win 8 forum and not refered to Access so much.
Do any of these two articles supply the answer you need?

Re: Change color of Access 2003 buttons in Win 8
Thanks Rudi. As I said I'm a dill - no getting around it!
Those refs are for changing the window border colors.
I have now come to the conclusion that, short of dabbling in the registry, and apart from changing window borders, there is no way of changing Win 8 windows colors.
This is frequently referred to on the web as another example of Microshaft's random "improvements". They are becoming increasingly more and more like Apple - do it our way or the highway. Once a company gets like that, their market share dwindles and dwindles. EG, Nokia and, of late, Apple. Fully deserved in both cases.
