Editing Wikipedia

To my great surprise Wikipedia seems to have relaxed its editing protocol.

I registered back in 2014 but (surprise!) got tossed around a bit with my suggested edits, so I lay quiet.
This morning I read an article and thought "That does it!". A five-letter word had three incorrect letters in it. I mean!

Nowadays anyone can edit a Wikipedia page; you do not need to be registered; you do not need to log in.
Logging in credits your UserName with the edit. Otherwise your IP address gets the credit. (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?ti ... on=history)

Oh I suspect it will, but there is a hard-core of dedicated Wiki-editors who seem to outweigh the general public.
I suspect that something like 95% of edits will be benign.

Besides, if it does get out of hand they can revert to the older practice and require people like me  to register and log in!
Cheers
