Green triangles in Excel

Post by BittenApple »

Hello team,

Sometime, when I pull the formula down the columns, green triangles appear on the corner of cells; that means inconsistent calculation, while I test the result of calculation and it is all correct.

Why do they appear while the calculation is correct?

Regards,

Bita :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

It could also mean that the calculation is different from the calculations in neighboring cells.
In many cases, you can safely ignore the green triangles.
Best wishes,
Hans

If you select the cell and then hover your mouse pointer to the left of the green triangle, you should see a drop-down appear, plus a 'tool tip' explaining what the 'error' is. For example:

I didn't say your data/ calculation was not correct - I was simply showing you how to check what 'error' Excel is reporting.
