I get documents I need to collab on and when I insert punctuation it looks different from the other person's contrib to the doc, namely apostrophes as seen in 1 and 2 here:
When I finalise the doc how can I make the apostrophes look the same throughout the whole document? I want it to look like 2 throughout.

Position the insertion point at the start of the document.
Press Ctrl+H to activate the Replace dialog.
Enter a straight apostrophe ' in the 'Find what' box.
Click in the 'Replace with' box.
With Num Lock turned on, press Alt+0146 using the number keys on the numeric keypad.
Click 'Replace All'.
Press Ctrl+H to activate the Replace dialog.
Enter a straight apostrophe ' in the 'Find what' box.
Click in the 'Replace with' box.
With Num Lock turned on, press Alt+0146 using the number keys on the numeric keypad.
Click 'Replace All'.

Just a note about why this is happening. If original document comes from Word, the originator has the AutoFormat as you type option for curly quotes unchecked.
