A friend is using an excel workbook of mine. It was working great for the last couple years. Then a couple months ago they started having problems with error messages that seem to occur when using a command button to run some code (to insert photo or to navigate). At the time they were using Microsoft office 2007. Thinking that 2007 might be the problem, so they then installed Microsoft office 2016. The problem seems to still be there and it seems to be random as it doesn’t always occur and may function ok on some sheets and not others. I then tested there workbook on my computer and it worked great.
I was wondering if some type of update may have caused this or possibly two versions of office installed causing conflict.
Here is a screen shot of the programs

Re: Microsoft Office appears not to function correctly
Did you use non-standard controls in the workbook (either on a worksheet or on a userform)?
Best wishes,
Hans

Yes, also I was wondering if a 32 or 64 bit installation could cause this?

Do you have 32-bit or 64-bit Office yourself?
Does the other user have 32-bit or 64-bit Office?

Re: Microsoft Office appears not to function correctly
I believe 2007 is 32 bit, so if my friend reinstalls 2016 they should probably select 32 bit, does that sound right

Re: Microsoft Office appears not to function correctly
Virtually everyone has 64-bit Windows nowadays, but that is not relevant. The important question is whether Office is 32-bit or 64-bit. Most users have 32-bit, but if your user has 64-bit Office, that might explain the problem.
If they currently have 64-bit Office, it would be a good idea to remove it and to install the 32-bit version, if they have the option to do that.
