Update: FastStone Image Viewer 7.5 released

Post by HansV »

FastStone has released version 7.5 of its free image viewer/editor (http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

Change log:
  • Added dark (almost black) theme. Now there are 3 themes (Bright, Gray and Dark) under Settings menu
  • Added support for audio formats, which can be enabled in the Video tab of Settings window
  • Many other minor improvements and bug fixes
Best wishes,
Hans

I'm not familiar with FastStone. I've been using IrfanView for years. Would you judge FastStone as better?

IrfanView is much more powerful, with more features. But I like the simplicity of FastStone's products, and what they offer is sufficient for my modest needs.
Best wishes,
Hans

I too am a long time IrfanView user. I have tried Faststone Image Viewer and I felt I ought to like it but I just preferred the 'old school' look and feel of IrfanView so I've stuck with that.

It's old school, yes, and very functional and effective. I have it linked with Paint.net for when I want to do some serious photo editing.
