Trying to create a shortcut to delete the temporary files. I have found
C:\Users\Nancy\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ljuve1hf.default-1524100377691\cache2
Under Cache2 are 2 file folders: Doomed and Entries. I can only create a shortcut to entries. Is this the correct folder to delete these files?
Is there a better shortcut to create? Thank you very much
(I currently use Ccleaner for this purpose)

Re: Delete internet cache
Do you have a specific reason for not wanting to use CCleaner?
From within Firefox, you can press Ctrl+Shift+Del to clear all history.
Alternatively, you can right-click Cache2 in File Explorer / Windows Explorer.
Select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut) from the context menu.
This will create a shortcut to the Cache2 folder on your desktop.
You can drag it to another location if desired.

Re: Delete internet cache
Shortcut – that’s exactly what I did, but before proceeding and deleting its contents, I wanted to be sure that’s all I’d be deleting.
Ccleaner – only reason for not wanting to use it is to save time, avoid some clicks.
Ctrl+Shift+Del opens Task Manager
As always, Hans, my thanks.

Re: Delete internet cache
I thought the keyboard shortcut for Task Manager was Ctrl+Shift+Esc - at least it is on my PC.
Ctrl+Shift+Del is the keyboard shortcut for deleting browsing history in most browsers (it works in Internet Explorer, Edge, Firefox and Chrome)

Re: Delete internet cache
My bad - hit wrong combo. I have use the Ctrl+Shift+Del daily, but I find that Ccleaner still has Firefox Internet Cache filled with items.
I don't want to delete all browsing history, want to keep cookies and logins.
If I use the shortcut, will it delete more than the FF cache?

Re: Delete internet cache
Cookies and form data are stored in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profilename>, so in a different branch of the registry (AppData\Roaming instead of AppData\Local). So clearing Cache2 won't affect cookies and form data.
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: Delete internet cache
Have you looked at the various options within Firefox?
click Options | Privacy & Security
under 'History' select 'Use custom settings for history'
tick the 'Clear history when Firefox closes
click 'Settings'
tick the items you want to clear, one of which is to clear the cache when you quit Firefox.
Job done.
