8 Less-Known Win10 Features/Settings Worth Exploring

Post by Rudi »

Gizmo's wrote:There are many new features and settings in Windows 10 and much has been written about the major ones. However, there are also quite a few lesser-known additions and here are some that I think are worth pointing out. You will generally need administrator privileges to make system changes.

Useful to explore. See here...

Tip #8 is a little odd. It's correct that you can use the entry on the WinKey+X menu, but it seems the writer doesn't know that you can click your account's avatar picture on the regular Start menu to get a menu that includes the Sign Out command (it makes more sense there than on the power/shutdown menu).

The way the writer words #8, I'd agree with you Jay. Its far easier using the method that you suggest. Thanks for pointing that out.
I'm still on Win7, so I did not know about this method.

Maybe this information will convince my wife to keep Win10 on her laptop so I don't need to research how to roll back to Win7 after Microsoft performed a drive-by download and install of Win10 without her permission yesterday ..... :aflame:

Anyone know of a class-action suit against MS for lost time/income from these drive-by installs? She could sue for $1 damages and $1 million pain and suffering (mine)....

Of all of the people that I know that say that Windows 10 was forced on them, have all stated I just clicked on the blue pane.

Well, they click the OK and not NO, so we all need to be sure what is clicked on, when this GWX pane is open.
