And just as I was about to hit the 'buy now' button for 1,015 GB more RAM...

Do they really make MBs that will support that much memory?

Sure.... doesn't everyone have a MB with 64 RAM slots? :laugh:

I suspect it is an experimental internal Microsoft server, and they've had to point out this problem for the very few companies who could afford £30K-worth of DRAM (say!) and would be able to make use of it. One of our work servers has 16 RAM slots, so 64 isn't really that far off.
