And if you're still in 2010 you're behind the times. Get with the program

No one going to do the old, "The world can't end this year because it's already next year in Australia", joke?

The fireworks cost only $ 5 Million this time round, quite cheap really.

Deutsche Welle (Germany's international TV service) reported a few hours back that Sydney has the worlds most expensive and best New Years day fireworks. We actually have 2 fireworks every year: One at 9:00pm for families, so you can take the kids home early and get them to bed, and the midnight one of course. There were some interesting effects this year and even some colors in the fireworks that I didn't think were possible to produce.

Reason: removed link to the fireworks video which wasn't the correct one
Cheers, Claude.

Can't find a real 2011 fireworks video yet, but here's a good one showing several cities fireworks Incredibly, but perhaps not surprisingly, the TV network who had the exclusive rights to broadcast the fireworks hasn't got a copy on its website. I found one authentic video on Youtube, but, the moron who uploaded it, recorded it off the TV screen with a hand-held camera :flee: Obviously a technocrat

Can you view this??? It asked for my opinion, but I clicked "no" and the video played!!!

FYI Sydney Opera House is on my "Bucket List" and I would daresay it would be imperative to celebrate
New Year's Eve there without any doubt~!~! Were you there?
