Thank you, Bob!
I wish you and all Loungers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I've used Adolphe Adam's O Holy Night, with the great Swedish tenor Jussi Björling, earlier and it's so incredibly good I can't refrain from posting it again.
Now, let's have something else, how about Swedish (mostly) Christmas Carols in a really mixed medley, with The Real Group; with subtitles so that Hans doesn't have to work overtime.

No, no; I just thought it might be a bit too much, first interpreting the lyrics then translating them. And not this, the (or these), longest night(s)? Well, maybe, it's getting late.HansV wrote:OK, OK, I get the hint - time for me to go to bedArgus wrote:Hans doesn't have to work overtime.

Re: It's that time.
Thank-you so very much Bob Bowlie in keeping with your theme, here's a favourite rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtXEySKTyrU The singing starts 1:17 into it, but there is a little background on these guys from Indiana University. Not only is it heart warming, it is hilarious!~~!viking33 wrote:It's that time of year to wish ALL of my fellow Loungers and friends,

Hans, it is hard to believe that almost an entire year has flown by in this lounge, and I wish you the happiest of all holidays for you and yours :-)

Yes, he was world class! I you want to listen to another, really different, version (of Adam's "O Holy Night"), also very serene, in another language, and for me very exotic, check out Angélique Kidjo with "Zan Vévéde" (think it's part of the album World Christmas, but I've heard it on the radio).Hey Jude wrote:Your Swedish tenor is awesome~!~!

Re: It's that time.
I'm reminded that one of my local friends (transplanted from another state) is preparing her Christmas goodies of Swedish meatballs, limpa and other stuff. When I read that at 1 am today I got so hungry! Yum...Argus wrote:Yes, he was world class!Hey Jude wrote:Your Swedish tenor is awesome~!~!
