I was surprised to find Lavoisier so far south (although he did study astronomy)
The southern coast of Western Australia is littered with French names which (naming) persisted until perfidious Albion established The Swan River Colony whose bicentennial is coming up in six years time.
I get Win11 stabilized by then, I might go home for a visit ...

I read that quite a few French astronomers only just made it through the revolution, seems Lavoisier didn't!
