How wonderful! The Bird Orchid is my favorite. The Flying Duck looks more like a stork to me, but I loved them all. I Googled the Fairy orchid and found the whimsically naughty Naked Fairy (also referred to as the Naked Man) Orchid.

Hi Kim, I agree, the bird caught my attention with its evolution into providing an escape hatch once the insects had done their pollinating trick,

There are some fascinating orchids, not just in Australia. Some of them have a special shape for a purpose, others are merely coincidental.
