in case anyone missed it...

Post by stuck »

..the UK is recovering from a 4 day holiday weekend, that celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. At one point it looked like the rain would wash out the firework finale in our village but it had the decency to hold off until we were all heading home at about 10:15pm.

On to Her Majesty's 100th birthday and then the year after her 75th year Jubilee...
Best wishes,

When was your Platinum Lounger's Jubilee?
If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have NO luck at all.

I'd never even noticed it.

And considering that the majority of my posts have been in Scuttlebutt, I can't say that it's a big achievement ;-)

Yes, our street met at the end of the cul-de-sac and started cooking burgers, pizza and paella at around 1:00 pm on Sat. We were all still eating at 6:00 pm!

Everybody also brought a wide variety of drinks. Towards the end of the afternoon I managed to snap the youngest member (18 months old) of our little community helping themselves to a bottle of Stella before the mother intervened
