Helping to wash the car

Post by RonH »

Our neighbours have young children and daddy was washing his car using the usual sponge and wax/wash water from a bucket.

His two and a half year old son decided to help … :clapping:

Daddy heard some strange sounds and looking down at his son noted that he had picked up his own ‘sponge’ just like daddy's, dunked it into the soapy water and was busy cleaning a lower part of the car. Problem was that the son had picked up off the ground a nice sized stone which he was using as a sponge to help daddy … He was so proud

Minor scratch damage only to the car paintwork …

One advantage of being 'senior' is car gets washed in an auto wash, totally hands (and stone) free

Please report back here when Junior tries to hammer a fence-post into the ground using a sponge!
Cheers, Chris

My dad tells the story of when I was little. He had just been painting the front door, in floss paint, which was oil based. The memento he wasn't looking, I proceeded to paint around the landing, inside and outside the house.
