Autumn flower

Post by GeoffW »

As flowers seem to be the flavour of the month, I offer my autumn flower picture. Daffodils are still a long way off down under. This is a magnolia (I think).

Yes, looks like a magnolia to me. Possibly a magnolia grandiflora?

Yes, but not the Grandiflora, that flowers in summer / autumn, which is why Geoff, being in southern latitudes, can post it as an autumn flower during our, northern latitude, spring.

I'm 100% certain that you know much more about plants and gardens than I do!
Best wishes,
Hans

Did anyone see the bee? What a grand specimen that one is.

Preparing for winter!

(Although winter where we live now is much milder than winter where we were).
