Just how big are these turbines?

Post by ChrisGreaves »

We humans are not good at mathematics; our brains did not evolve to understand "123 metres".
Our brains did evolve to deal with distances in the horizontal sense of where we live (on the African savannah).
To my mind, this is the best picture (I have seen) to give me a real idea, in my head, of how big a wind turbine can be.

And this is only the radius, so to speak.

Cheers
Chris

We live on an Interstate highway. We travel it quite often and sometimes see as many as 6 of these blade deliveries traveling in a convoy.

Do you consider them a blow to humanity?
