In which case, I can inform you that this evening we, again, enjoyed lightly steamed courgette (zucchini to you foreigners) with our evening meal. It won't be the last time we savour such delights because we are suffering from a bit of a courgette glut at the moment. The regular summer rain has meant the plants are producing fruits faster than we can eat them.

I've used them to make jam (with fresh ginger). Also pickles. Grated, they make a very nice moist chocolate cake. They make a very passable mock apple crumble, as well as savoury pies.
