Elsa is the first hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season

Post by PJ_in_FL »

<sigh>

And so it begins ...

:sad:

Instead of holiday merry-making this Fourth of July, I guess I'll be doing some hurricane prep...

Stay safe!

(Is she going to bring ice and snow?)
Best wishes,
Hans

Looks like Elsa is coming for a visit...

Outside furniture stored, windows secured, and ready to head to higher ground. Hopefully this is just a test to insure we're ready when a "real" storm comes calling....

Well, PJ, the guest room is almost empty; I just have to move the funicular railway from the bed.
If you leave Fla now, you stand a good chance of two days good weather here before Elsa trails you here ...
Drive to the twin water towers, hang a left at the maroon house, I am opposite the 40-foot pine tree.

I know, I know, I said "twin" towers, and it looks as if the other one is about to blow down.

There were two towers two days ago, and as far as i know there still are. You can SEE that there are two in this image. BTW I stayed at Lancaster House three times; very good.
They serve a sit-down cooked breakfast, quite different from stumbling around the back forty (square yards) sucking on an orange and wondering where to dump today's grass clippings.

Chris,

Thanks for the offer. Orlando was far enough (THIS TIME! Remember Charlie?).

However, FWIW if it gets too windy there we have a small shed that I can put the hammock into.

Is that tree REALLY 40' tall?

40' just isn't what it used to be... :sad:

Got it!

Code: Select all

Function Hurricane()
    IF it_gets_too_windy_there Then
        we_have_a_small_shed_that_I_can_put_the_hammock_into
    ELSA
        vist_Bonavista_and_borrow_Chris 's_tape_measure
    END IF
End Function
When it gets too windy here, the sheds blow away! Happened last year.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I do ***NOT*** want to wake up one morning and find that my view of the pine tree is blocked by your shed; or even part of it.

Cheers
Chris
