What a good idea!!
Kudo's to Justin for this honorable article!
LOVE IT!!
If the article were a tad longer, there'd probably also have mention of a Dachshund Update, BobH.
Needless to say, Microsoft would show wisdom in starting with this update.

Rudi

OH NO!
We would end up with something approaching the fatuously stupid designations of new versions of Ubuntu, like Feisty Ferret, Nefarious Narwhal, Pusillanimous Penguin, Querulous Quetzal, Wheezy Wombat, and the like.
(I leave out Devious Dachshund for obvious reasons!)

Re: What a good idea!!
And to make it easy to remember in which order versions came out, name them alphabetically (like storms):
Windows Alsatian
Windows Bloodhound
Windows Corgi
Windows Dachshund
Windows Alsatian
Windows Bloodhound
Windows Corgi
Windows Dachshund
Best wishes,
Hans

Re: What a good idea!!
Or you could give them version numbers!
Windows 10-001
Windows 10-002
etc.
Or dates
Windows 10-20171024
Windows 10-20180203
and so on

Windows 10-002
etc.

and so on

Re: What a good idea!!
No, no John!! That is too formal or numerical. A bit of descriptive creativity is required.

Re: What a good idea!!
It's even a more powerful naming convention than previously mentioned . . .
Windows Alsatian
Windows Bloodhound
Windows Corgi, Cardigan
Windows Corgi, Pembroke
Windows Dachshund, Long-Haired Black and Tan
Windows Dachshund, Long-Haired Red
Windows Dachshund, Smooth Black and Tan
Windows Dachshund, Smooth Dapple
Windows Dachshund, Smooth Red
Windows Dachshund, Wire-Haired Black and Tan
Windows Dachshund, Wire-Haired Red
.
.
.
. . . of course we could create even more by using the Miniature and Standard qualifiers
. . . and isn't the use of Windows redundant?

The way Bob was running off those pedigrees, I'd make it a few decades before we even get out of the Dachshunds Hans.
