Hi Chris,

Welcome to Eileen's Lounge.

Is that Callisto? Or Ganymede?
Best wishes,
Hans

Thank you Hans, and THANK YOU.
Your room is still here, TV, internet, home-cooked meals etc.
But right now you have to share a bed with a very frightened cat.
She is under; you would, of course, be on top.

One thing we have agreed upon is that she will NOT be named after a planet.
There's no way in the world I'm going to be caught cooing "I love you Jupiter, and I love Uranus too!"

You might be talking about HansV's userpic in that case

But Callisto and Ganymede aren't planets, they're satellites of Jupiter.

(I remember in the 1980's when newsreaders had a hard time telling viewers with a straight face that "astronomers have discovered rings around Uranus")
Best wishes,
Hans

Yes, I just had to explain HansV's userpic to my granddaughter, who was passing by the computer. She first guessed it was a kangaroo, and then a bear. :nope:
She was finally able to see the dog, after I pointed out a few details and had her pretend the sunglasses weren't there.

No.
"That which was lost, is found"
She has spent the past four months in a two-foot cube wire cage at the local shelter.
She now has two queen-size beds, three couches, six dining-room chairs, a green chair, TWO balconies (weather permitting), the key to the executive washroom, cold running water (two locations), a practically unlimited supply of dry cat food, and a vet right across the street, who we hope not to visit except for vaxin^H^H^H^H^H vacin^H^H^H^H^H needles.
She also has two adoring males, gentle men, both, who can't wait to play with her.
When she's ready to come out from under the bed.
Jupiter says she can listen to his German-language cassette tapes on "How to develop an opposable thumb"; says he doesn't care to get into that stuff, but she's welcome ...

Typical.
Not even 24 hours into it and already we have a pirated thread.

That is my Girl Guide Jar.
When I'm at McDonald's and someone else is buying me a sundae, I grab the pennies from my friend's hand, and explain to the innocent young teen-behind-the-counter that the pennies go into my Girl Guide Jar.
Once the innocent young teen-behind-the-counter has nodded acknowledgment, I continue:
"I'm saving up to buy a Girl Guide".
If nothing else it speeds up the service like you wouldn't believe.

... and if you think I'm keen on establishing a new personal-best for shortest-time-before-getting-kicked-out by going anywhere with "satellite-Uranus", you are very much mistaken.

A guy that worked here (and now works at the local observatory) always pronounced it "Urine-us" - I'm not sure that's any better really...

OK John (nice name BTW!), I'll give you a little clue: In image #2 she demonstrates her ability to spit out her own tongue and leave it lying on the floor.
