My son Chris asked if I could post this request for any "hands on" information regarding the Microsoft Surface portable. He does a lot of video editing in his job and his aging laptop is either up for replacement or a trip out the window.
Any input or comparison to the Apple unit (similar?) would be greatly appreciated by Chris and me!

Re: Experience/opinions needed
The Surface Laptop 2 is intended as a lightweight tablet/laptop for browsing, watching video etc. It has integrated Intel graphics, so it is not really suitable for video editing.
The Surface Book 2 is more expensive; it comes with a much better NVidia GeForce video card in addition to the integrated Intel graphics. It should do nicely for video editing. It is roughly comparable to a MacBook Pro.
The Surface Studio 2 might be even better for graphics work, but it is very expensive.
