Maybe this belongs in puzzles - we have a USB drive with about 200 songs. When we insert the drive into a music player (boom box), it always plays a song initially that we cannot find on the USB drive.
Any thoughts on how to find this thing? Or how to determine what sort method is used by the FAT?

Does the drive contain a file Autoplay.inf in its root folder?
If so, what are its contents? (It is a plain text file that can be viewed in Notepad)

I did not have a chance to look - wife deleted all the music the reloaded and it works fine now. We must have just missed it as we tried to quickly listen to them all...

I've been getting some "ghost music" to some degree in my external speakers. Sound, not files.
I have two external right & left speakers and also a bass box with a small amp.
Even with sound off and bass switched off, I can hear, away in the background, the audio from a local radio station. ( one I don't care for ) It is loud enough o make it kind of annoying, so I called the station and spoke to the chief engineer who offered to order and send me a band pass filter to put on the amp. Told him thanks much but I'll build my own. Filters are easy enough to make up with only a few components, so case closed. Just thought I'd tell my tale.

This is not my area, so excuse the ignorance, but how can a speaker be outputting radio signals if the receiver is off (or do you mean that the volume is turned all the way down)?
