A billion AA batteries from a gram of carbon

Post by ChrisGreaves »

Science In Action podcast
I couldn't check this online because I don't have Flash player installed, but about the 8m mark (after "Lucy") on my d/l podcast "ScienceInAction-20161201-MoreEvidenceThatLucyClimbedTrees" is a story about using reclaimed nuclear waste (carbon-14 in Graphite) to make diamonds that receive radiation and generate electricity.

"Two million million joules of stored energy in one gram
Something like a billion AA batteries"

Cheers
Chris
