Update â–º Foxit 4.1.1

Post by JoeP »

On the heels of version 4.1, another update, version 4.1.1, is available at Foxit Software - Downloads(Latest Version). I can only surmise there was a significant issue that required another release so quickly.

Thanks!

The internal updater says: "Foxit Reader 4.1.1.0805 fixes the crash issue caused by the new iPhone/iPad jailbreak program and prevents the malicious attacks to your computer."
Best wishes,
Hans

Oh, and the zip version is available from Foxit Software - Foxit Reader 4.1 for Windows (although it says 4.1, it is actually 4.1.1)

The zip version contains only the executable, not the installer that tries to get you to accept other stuff in addition to Foxit Reader.
Best wishes,
Hans

There's also a link on Joe's page that says "More Download" which leads to a page containing the Zip download.

If you already have Foxit Reader that's the easiest option, of course.

That presumes that the update download doesn't include the toolbar and the other rubbish that you avoided in the original download. I suspect that CCleaner/Defraggler (for example) might not give you the equivalent of their 'Slim' versions...

The built-in update feature of Foxit simply replaces the .exe file, without adding anything extra.

Piriform products such as CCleaner don't autoupdate, they inform you that there is an update and take you to the website.
Best wishes,
Hans
