It's not really FREE software in the usual sense of the word, so that's why I've put it in a different thread.
My view is that drivers should come from the hardware manufacturer, or failing this, from Microsoft.
But sometimes a manufacturer goes under, and so the drivers may no longer be available.
Obviously there is ample scope for websites to be set up with hacked drivers with added viruses and trojans, or websites which make a charge for the software.
So I'm looking for a (short) list of drivers websites in which people have confidence, and which are free to use.
