virtual disk drive

Post by westerneagle »

I have the Microsoft Flight program that requires me to insert Disk 4 every time I want to run the thing.

I know there is such a thing as a app that makes the computer 'think' the disk is loaded, but it is really not.

Could someone point me in the right direction or offer some suggestion on the best program and etc.

Thanks

Such "no-cd" applications usually involve modifying the game files. The license agreement no doubt forbids modifying the game files, so Eileen's Lounge cannot help you with it.
Best wishes,
Hans

In order to protect my CDs, and to make it easy to run programs that are CD based, I have been using Virtual-CD for many years.

Thanks Hans,

NO problem!

Sure didn't mean to get into 'that' . . . .

I own (read that, paid for) the program, so If that what it takes , I am not concerned about doing it for my own use.
I will look into it elsewhere.

thanks again

Now, can you help me get a License number for 'my copy' of Windows 7. . . .

Thanks too StuartR, I will look into it.

If that allows me to run the program with out altering the files, then it seems it is just what I am looking for.

Thanks

ElaborateBytes also has a free product called Virtual Clone-Drive that we use in the office for handling iso files.

Thanks, I will check it out. Since my first post I really have not had time to 'fly' or should I say 'play'
So. . .I am still looking at my options.
