Can you run it in admin mode (as administrator)? --(Right-click the application's shortcut, and then choose Run as Administrator).

BTW: A Google search also points that security settings on your PC can block communications. Eg; internet security settings or antivirus settings.

Rudi

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

I had been using it successfully until yesterday Apr. 16th. but not as Admin. I reported this to Filehippo, no response to date.
This is it's settings before this post was made.

I get the same error.

I've occasionally seen problems with FileHippo app manager not working at weekends and then getting fixed on the next Working day. It may be a problem their end but nobody in to fix it. Hopefully it will work again after the bank holiday weekend.

I added Winpatrol to my Laptop and tried :-
This didn't work with Filehippo, so I removed it. It did seem to help Secunia.
