BETA upgrade to Everything (from VoidTools)

Post by Rudi »

The popular search application called: Everything, has had a BETA upgrade to v1.4. (incl. a few additional tweaks in the latest version released in Nov 2016). Many of these upgrades have gone unnoticed until a question posted by BobH helped to bring it to light. You can find the full thread that triggered this post here. Everything v1.4.1.809b is now the most complete edition of this search tool and includes new features like thumbnail view and a preview pane for image search results, an easy to use Advanced search dialog, the ability to search file contents for the criteria provided, a basic multiple file renamer and a number of other tweaks and improvements. A full listing here.

An excellent tool from David Carpenter of VoidTools.

Rudi

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

Everything 1.5 Alpha has a search-by-content feature.
Given Everything's traditional speed, this could be better than FileSearchy.
I have d/l a copy "Everything-1.5.0.1303a.x64.zip" but not installed it yet.
Cheers
Chris
