Under requirements is the note:
Please note that while the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows can be used to run Thunderbird, only 32-bit builds of Thunderbird are supported at this time.
So I'll hold off updating for now, until 64 bit is supported.

Bob, that is their convoluted way of saying there is no 64 bit version of Thunderbird (for windows). The version you and I run is 32 bit. It runs on both 32 and 64 bit versions of windows.
