Tailor search results that display all the terms searched for
When I enter a search into Outlook, the results come back with items that have any of the words in the search. How can I program the search such that only results with all of the words in the search turn up? for example, if I search for John Smith, I will not get back any emails that mentioned John, but not Smith, or that mentioned Smith but not John. I will only see results that mention both John and Smith.

Try searching for
John OR Smith
John OR Smith

Do you mean
John AND Smith
I want only results that display all the terms.
Does AND or OR need to be capitalized for this to work?

I misunderstood your question.
Entering John Smith will return messages that contain John or Smith or both. It is equivalent to John OR Smith.
It is not essential to capitalize AND and OR.

So it sounds like what I should be using is AND between my search terms.
