Display results as the query is typed in Office 365
In Outlook 2016, Outlook would display results as the query was typed. Is this no longer available in Outlook 2019 / Office 365? I do not see it under File | Options | Search. Is this feature no longer available in Outlook 2019 / Office 365?

Re: Display results as the query is typed in Office 365
The search box has been moved to the title bar in Outlook in a recent update to Microsoft 365.
It should still provide instant search.

I have to press enter to get the results of my search inquiry.

Hmm... I have Office 2019 myself. Perhaps someone who has Microsoft 365 can react.

Re: Display results as the query is typed in Office 365
I have Microsoft 365 and to perform the search I must hit enter. As I type the search terms suggested terms are populated instead of search results. There is not an option to change this behavior that I can find in Outlook.

Hans, in Outlook 2019, if you go to File | Options | Search, do you see an option for "If possible, display results as the query is typed."

Re: Display results as the query is typed in Office 365
My understanding is that Outlook 365 does not exist as its own program. It is just a subscription that enables users to use the latest version of Outlook and other Office apps. That latest version is Office 2019 / Outlook 2019, so there should not be a difference between what StuartR and I see in Outlook 365 and what Hans sees in Office 2019.

Re: Display results as the query is typed in Office 365
There IS a difference.
The buy-once version Office 2019 receives security updates, but with a few exceptions, no feature updates.
The subscription version Microsoft 365 receives both security and feature updates. The frequency of these updates depends on the update channel you have chosen.
So Outlook 2019 in a fully updated Microsoft 365 will look and act differently than Outlook 2019 in Office 2019.
It looks like instant search (display search results while you are typing) has fallen by the way in the Microsoft 365 version, while it is still available in the Office 2019 version.
